So it's been a while since I've made on of these things.  You know... the xanga entries that tell the tales of my life primarily with the use of visual aid?  I don't think I've made one since the last winter break.  I really don't know why...  Maybe because I didn't have time?  But that's not true at all.  I bet it's because I discovered facebook.  BLASTED FACEBOOK!  WHY AM I STUCK ON THAT BUSINESS?!?!  There is very little room for self-expression in that thing.  With that said, I think I shall make the move back to this Xanga business.  I take a lot of pictures, and I used to this thing as a little showcase for them, so I guess it's time to bring this back.  Even though barely anyone reads this thing anyway.  Oh well... ANYWAY!!!

Are you ready?  Here it is...

CALIFORNIA TRIP v2.0 (WITH PICTURES!!!)

SO I WENT TO CALIFORNIA over the winter break.  I did it last year, and it made a very nice separation of the semesters.  A nice way to vacate myself from usual life, just as a vacation should be.

So... What'd I do?

Well... I did a lot of this... video game-ing with the cousins.  Here are Nick and Ryan rockin it out on Guitar Hero II complete with wireless guitar controllers that me and my brother gave them for Christmas.  Such a wonderful game....

Just so you can see some faces... here they are... Ryan is to the left.  And Nick is to the right.  Haha it's kind of hard to tell that those two are brothers, since sometimes Ryan looks like he is half black and Nick looks like he's half white.  And just as a side note, Nick sorta looks like me when I was his age, only my hair was more black.

Oh and here is some more Guitar Hero II...  And there's my brother too.  He holds the guitar controller like an idiot.  But perhaps it's because he wants to show off his forearms.

I won at mini golf.  I even beat my brother who said "Chris, I always win, you should be used to it by now."  What a loser.  Oh and he also drove the wrong way on the go kart track later that night.  HAhaaaaaaaaaa!

This is Nick doing his thing on a skateboard.  HE'S REALLY GOOD!  The bottom left one is my favorite picture.  If I had photoshop I'd totally steal the sillhouette of him and his board and throw it on a shirt.  (hint hint to the brother the Kinko's man...)

One thing that I did not take a picture of, but must be acknowledged are the talents of Ryan on the guitar.  He's frickin awesome!  Haha I guess I was too engrossed in watching him work his magic on the frets to take a picture.

I also did a lot of eating.  Lots and lots of eating.  Here's just one night's feast.... New Year's Eve to be more specific.

Yes... We ate monster fingers.....

Ha just kidding.. They were actually the hugest crab legs I've ever seen!  Oh and there's my Auntie Cil!

And here is some shrimp............ mmmmmmmmmmm shrimp...

Lobster tails... You know... I think lobsters are just giant shrimp with claws.... They look VERY similar!

STEAKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!

And later that night... a burger from a Mel's Diner in San Francisco.

Yes... that night I consumed a whole branch of the animal kingdom!  Though... there may have been some consequences...

Alright... now... I want you to look back again at the pictures... But this time... look at them as if they are MUGSHOTS!  BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHY??!!?! ONE OF THESE THINGS GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!! SUCH A TERRRRRRRRIBLE THING TO HAVE!!! I SPENT MY 1ST DAY OF 2007 EXPELLING MY INSIDES!!!!!!!

Actually... after further investigation... probably none of these things made me sick... It was most likely this funky virus going around.... but whatever.... I'm still very very hesitant to consume extreme amounts of protein now...

And if you were wondering... I spent my New Year's Eve evening in San Francisco and had a so-so night with my brother and his friends.  I did, however, find the most enjoyment in trying to make weird faces in pictures.  Haha, I wonder if those people with the cameras noticed....

Speaking of pictures.................  These are my favorites of the trip...

The Palace of Fine Arts.  This is one of those pictures that I really should submit to some travel magazine or post card maker...  Even though the same exact picture has probably been taken before... But but but do those pictures have an Asian family staring and pointing at a homeless dude feeding birds?

For those of you who took Humanities or architecture..... What type of columns are these?  (answer located on page 6B)

LOOK AT THOSE GREEN HILLS!!!

All I think about when I see this picture is... "Darn you California with your rich people and your boats and your green hills..."

This scene looked so much better in real life than it does in this picture...

Unfortunately the most breath taking scene of my California trip ended up being a realllllllllly crappy picture.  My brother's tinted windows causes the puffy cumulous clouds to look like ominous cumulonimbi!  The lamp post is sticking up in the middle.  There are two ugly cars on the street.  And the view of the hills is hindered by lots of houses and trees.  BUT BUT BUT IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY... you'll unlock the true beauty of the landscape. The shadows of the clouds are cast upon the hills highlight them in spots where the sunlight hits.  Holy jeeze it was gorgeous!

Anyway... I guess I'll be signing off now... Oh but before I do that...  Thanks to the brother, Uncle Jiji, Aunt Cil, Grandma and Ryan and Nick!  Later later...

CHRIS Q!

Oh and one more thing...
That game down there... "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney"... Best game I've played in a while!  Who knew that being a defense attorney in a video game would be so much fun?  It was actually like reading a really really good interactive book.

I had a dream that...

...I was a garbage man.  I found myself dumping a can full of garbage into a truck.  The other guy I was working with kept making fun of me because it was my first day, and I didn't really know what I was doing. Although, he did give me some very useful pointers in the process.  Apparently, you are supposed to neatly arrange the various garbage recepticles after you empty their contents.  I was also advised to "never approach a garbage can with an open mouth".

As I was taking care of my waste management duties, the scene seamlessly changed into the city of Angel Grove.  Yes, that's right, the land of the Power Rangers.  And as it turns out, I wasn't just a garbage man - I was a Power Ranger garbage man.  I am, however, not sure which color Ranger I was.  But anyway, the other Rangers and I found an additional Ranger.  For some reason we KNEW he was a Ranger, but we couldn't figure out which one because he was wearing more than one color.  Our first conclusion was that he was a new Rainbow Ranger or something.  But through some sort of psychic vision I had, we eventually determined that he was a second Blue Ranger.  Zordon, who was now portable and displayed on my Nintendo DS Lite, informed us that this was made possible by the "Robotic Cashback Device" which allowed for the cloning of the original Power Rangers' Zords.  A second set of Zords meant a second set of Power Rangers.  EXCITING!

And unfortunately, and quite possibly fortunately, that's all I remember.

You see this?

This is the new Chili Meltdown burger at Dairy Queen.

This is the burger I made 2 years ago on a camping trip.  Everyone thought I was crazy and gross.

I guess I wasn't that crazy and gross after all... Although I did have beans... The beans were so worth it...  I'VE GOT BEANS OVER DQ!

Remember this?...

Great green gobs of greasy, grimy, gopher guts
Mutilated monkey meat
Even little piggie feet
French fried eyeballs rolling in a bowl of blood
But I forgot my spoon....
...Luckily I've got my straw!!!!!!!!

I used to sing that song with my brother all the time.  We did lots of other extremely odd things which I'm not going to get into.  I think he would agree with my decision not to share this information....
